Did you know that the Nomai Menstrual Cup’s antenna is not designed for pulling on? The purpose of the antenna is to make it easier to find the base of the menstrual cup!
Find the antenna, proceed with your fingers along the antenna to the base of the menstrual cup. Take hold of the base of the menstrual cup, squeeze out the negative pressure with your fingers and, gently swaying and pulling, remove the menstrual cup from the vagina.
Pulling from the antenna complicates the removal of the menstrual cup — when you pull on the antenna, the negative pressure in the menstrual cup increases and it settles even more tightly against the walls of the vagina. So, pulling on the antenna is not a good idea!
If you find it difficult to remove the menstrual cup, gently hold the antenna (but do not pull on it!) and at the same time push your pelvic floor muscles downwards in the same as you would when going to the toilet. This will make the menstrual cup move down lower in the vagina and it will be easier to remove it afterwards.
Also remember not to grab the antenna with your fingernails! The antenna is very resistant to pulling, but if you make a crack in it, its pulling strength will suffer and the antenna may break.
