It all started with a need identified by a gynaecologist: the menstrual cup could be made so much better. Today, we’re building a growing world of personal care around our much-loved hero product, always with the same promise: more comfort and products that truly work.

Where it all began
Nomai was born from a need identified by a Finnish gynaecologist through her work. In her practice, she repeatedly came across challenges and discomfort related to menstrual cup use. This sparked the idea of creating a menstrual cup designed with the female anatomy and everyday comfort in mind.
The shape, softness and details of the Nomai Menstrual Cup were developed together with nearly 100 testers, ranging from experienced menstrual cup users to those with less experience. Based on their feedback, the cup was refined step by step until we found the distinctive shape and softness that define Nomai today.
And that’s how the Nomai Menstrual Cup was born, along with the idea for a brand dedicated to finding better solutions for the body’s different needs.
Made in Finland, designed by a gynaecologist
The Nomai Menstrual Cup, along with most of the products in our range, is made in Finland. The cup is made from 100% medical-grade silicone, a well-researched material with FDA approval for medical use. It is free from harmful chemicals, latex, phthalates, BPA and parabens. Medical-grade silicone does not dry out the vaginal mucous membranes.
The colourants used in our menstrual cups have been tested according to international standards and confirmed as suitable for medical use.
Our menstrual cups are manufactured under a highly controlled, ISO-certified production process. The manufacturer is also committed to the chemical industry’s Responsible Care programme. These standards help ensure consistently high quality throughout the manufacturing process and in every finished product.

Natural is a conscious direction for us. Our range includes certified natural cosmetics, and when developing new products, we favour carefully considered formulations and naturally derived ingredients whenever they support the product’s purpose and performance.
